: An Apple a day doesnt always keep the Blackberry away!
A blog article posted on tbreak.com under the headline An Apple a day doesn’t always keep the Blackberry away… where in three simple reasons the author of the article tells us why the blackberry’s is a very preferable device. I just want to share his article as this topic is always discussed between my friends and I always try to convince them about the blackberry.
The biggest reason is the unlimited Data plan even when I’m roaming. RIM, through its years of operation, has created such fantastic relations with telcos around the world that you no longer have to worry about the humungous charges associated with data roaming on almost all other phones. I know exactly what I’m going to pay for my data no matter where I’m travelling or what application I’m using- be it my emails, the web browser, my RSS reader or my twitter client. I doubt any company can come close to RIM any time soon in this regard. If you travel, the blackberry is your best choice if you care about your bills. ~Quoted from tbreak.com
I totally agree, especially in UAE the i-Phone data plans are so unrealistic and very expensive compared to the blackberry BIS and BES services. its true, the i-Phone is a cutting edge device with its multimedia capabilities with so many other features that beats any phone in the market however, i-phone and all the other major mobile manufactures like HTC, Nokia and Motorolla etc. lack the exclusive unlimited roaming plans offered by RIM Blackberry.
Blackberry recently released the Storm® and I had the chance to play around with it and I must say the device is really cool with its wide 920K million collors ultra screen featuring the first realistic button feel touch screen which is an advantge over the i-phone for those who prefer the real buttons feel instead of typing on a flat solid screen. however, the Storm OS is slower than the i-phone when you navigate between the applications where the i-phone is extremely smoth and fast compared to the blackberry. mind you, only the i-phone users may conisder the blackberry storm interface slow.
personally I still prefer my Bold over the Storm or at least until the Blackberry Storm 2 get released by the end of 2009 I may have a second look
